What's in a bag?

COMPO EXPERT believe in sustainable nitrogen efficiency and our Floranid ^Twin range of slow-release fertilisers (SRF) are the most efficient fertilisers on the market with a 98% activity index. We think its unfair and morally wrong to sell fertilisers packed with fillers such as sand, clay, vermiculite and zeolites etc.

1. A nutrient full bag will have a percentage analysis that adds up to approximately 33-40%
2. Any less than 33% then there are fillers in the bag
3. Sometimes these fillers can be useful materials such as seaweeds, but amounts are generally too low to make a significant effect

Simply add up the major and secondary nutrient figures from your fertiliser analysis. This will give you a rough idea of how much filler is in your fertiliser bag.

In the example below the calculation is:

Floranid ^Twin Eagle Master - 19+5+10+2 = 36%

Generic Fertiliser - 8+0+0+3+3= 14%
