Ornamental plants
Demand orientated fertilisation is of fundamental importance to achieve optimum crop results. The nutrient requirements of the crop are adapted to the production target, i.e. the desired quality, e.g. the plant size and growth habit. The nutrients available in the substrate and soil are balanced and thus determine the amount of fertiliser that must be added to cover the nutrient requirements. The quality of the irrigation water determines which fertiliser should be used and the amount that should be applied. Knowledge about the nutrient content of the water by means of up-to-date analysis is therefore the first prerequisite for successful crop management.
