Therefore, in order to achieve the quanti-qualitative goals, we must define nutritional strategies consistent with the specific needs of each orchard. Analyses (soil, foliar, water, etc.) take on particular relevance, as they provide us with information that will ultimately help us define our nutritional program for the season. The idea is to have a balanced orchard that allows the accumulation of sugars along with a correct ratio of nutrients in the fruit (dry matter, as well as reducing the damage caused by abiotic stress (cracking). First of all, it is necessary to take care of the nutrients necessary to have a good fruit set, among which boron and zinc stand out, without forgetting that auxins play an important role in the elongation of the pollen tube. COMPO EXPERT recommends the application of microelements in association with Basfoliar^® Spyra SL, a product based on microalgae that not only intervenes in the metabolic processes taking place during flowering but also protects the plant from damages caused by abiotic stresses, which are extremely harmful if they occur during flowering. The combination of products allows to stimulate flowering and fruit set, providing both nutritive elements and biostimulating molecules. The recommended application period is pre-flowering and flowering. Another key nutrient to ensure a better post harvest condition is calcium. Basfoliar^® Ca SL which allows the applied calcium to give firmness and stability to the cell wall. In addition to the calcium contribution, we also recommend the use of Basfoliar^® Si SL, a product whose unique composition based on silicon and glycinbetaine allows a greater skin elasticity and a better water flow in the plant tissues, ensuring a high shelf life and the prevention of the cracking phenomenon. In order to guarantee a high size Basfoliar^® Size O SL, applied during the complete peeling, increases the number of cells in the fruit and guarantees a high and uniform size in the orchard. This application, to be repeated three times every 10-15 days, not only increases the weight of the fruit but also improves its quality, both from the organoleptic point of view (taste) and shelf life. In order to obtain the best result, we suggest to mix Basfoliar^® Size O SL and Basfoliar^® Si SL alternating it with Basfoliar^® Ca SL in order to exploit the transport effect of the seaweed and optimize the contribution of calcium and silicon.
